LAA 24 hour rain

LAA;
Heard on the local news that some stations in the north east corner of the state were reporting up to 16 inches of rain in the past 24 hours.
Sure hope you guys are OK up there.
Might be time to break out the pirogue with all that water.

Around 14 inches from 2am until 4 pm, more on tap for tommorow. Several roads flooded and it will get in a lot of people's houses that live on the delta side of the river but hopefully ruined carpet and drywall will be the worst of it. Funny you mention a pirogue because that is what the youngest Son had in the back of his truck when he dropped off our Grandbaby, he was headed to put out crawfish traps.

I was living in West Monroe in '77 or '78. Some kind of tropical depression or fluky system came through; it started raining at midnight and quit at six a.m. In that six hours 18" fell. North Monroe became a lake.

A inch of rain per hour for 14 hours is plenty in anyone's terms.
Hopefully the flooding will not be to bad.

Just a few years ago everyone was selling cows because of no rain; so no grass.
Now what cows they have left are hunting high ground from to much rain.
Oh well life goes on.
Stay safe.
