How's the spring field work coming along Allan?

Done with corn here but it has been too wet for the last week to do anything.

That is something, I just mentioned in a thread below, we got one of those on May 19th 1983, solid 24", and I recall just thinking how nice it was to be past winter LOL !

Well hopefully not a detriment to your crops, and the moisture/nitrogen is beneficial, given the weather you had weeks ago, it ought to melt off in a hurry, it did here, sun is just too strong now for it to remain very long.

May 10, about 1963 or 64, We had snow flurries in NW SC. Latest I have ever seen.
Of course the folks in Myrtle Beach are cussing all the rain from a tropical storm right now.
We could use some rain where we are.

As I mentioned on another thread, on May 1st, two years ago, I drove through approximately those same conditions from Kearney, Nebraska to Scottsbluff.

Ah Allen , ah how about you just keep it out there or send it north . Just don't send it this way . We are just getting aq good start on getting field work started and some corn in the ground. And enjoying mid 80's with nice WARM SUN . Really working on the FARMER TAN .

That's more than we got all winter here! It's been really dry, our "April Showers" never came, and minimal white stuff over the winter. I suspect we're in for a good drought this year.

That doesn't look like fun. It seems our weather has shifted months. The showers that used to come in April are later and winter comes earlier. Poor summer is just pushed aside.

Here south of you 30 miles we had right at 3" rain before we got right at a foot of snow. Now the wind is blowing 25-30 mph. Snow is moving some but thank god it seems too wet to move much. Great moisture though. Suppused to be 44 tomorrow and 65 Tuesday. Things will be a muddy mess then.

I been watching the hiway cameras in the Panhandle. Glad I don't live there today. Been cool here.

Be careful, warm and safe.
