I have seen many posts that recommend cornhead grease, but where can I buy it?

We have Ford-New Holland, Case IH, TSC, Napa stores in our area, do any of them carry cornhead grease, and do they call it something else?

Thanks
Rich

I whip up a 50-50 mix of red wheel bearing grease and 80-wt. transmission fluid, in a coffee can wiht a coat hanger in by drill. Make it just as thick/thin as I like. Works great. The red works best in Farmalls......

JD and MF dealers both sell cornhead grease in tubes.

For steering gear boxes, rotary cutter gearboxes, etc., that will not hold 90W, I much prefer CNH pourable, high EP lube. It's available in quart bottles from your CNH dealer and will flow in cold winter weather when CH grease will not.

Note: Not all CNH dealers stock it and they can only order it in cases so yours will likely not order it for you if they do not already have it.

If you have a local bulk plant it should ge available in 5 gallon buckets or tubes.

Our local TSC carrys "Quality Super S Lubricants, OO grease" in quart bottles. I believe that is similar to corn head grease. It can be hard to find - for some unknown reason it is on the shelves with the 3Pt hitch items rather than with other oil/grease items.

Lawn care dealers and small engine shops will also carry cornhead grease, but it's called transmission grease. It's used in some lower cost transmissions, like Murry riding mowers.

Adding to my post below, I was at my CNH dealer this morning.

Next to the "Iron Guard" High EP lube in quart bottles was CNH cornhead grese in tubes.
