Isuzu oil leak

I have a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo 2.6L four cylinder leaking oil on the right side (passenger) of the engine between the bell and the engine about halfway down.

I assume a rear seal but have some reservation as it is halfway down and not coming out the bottom. It only leaks while running and is a steady drip, about one every 2 seconds.

Thanks.

Look very carefully above the leak. Very possible it's the valve cover gasket or some other source leaking down, dripping off the the block.

Hard to say without seeing it, but as mentioned check valve cover and there is a half moon shaped rubber plug on the back of the cylinder head that can leak oil too, it can be serviced with the valve cover gasket set. The oil pressure switch is on the RH side of the block right behind the motor mount and the distributor is on the RH side rear of cylinder head. The oil pressure switch would be replaced but the distributor has a seal

I've seen these engines leak from all of those mentioned above and earlier post too, along with timing cover area, and rear main. Good little engines but they like to slobber oil.
