Soil makes all the difference in the world. In sand you aren't going to pull anywhere near as big of one as in hard ground. Around here, an 18 foot tandem is too big. My
uncle pulled a 21 foot easy.

We used our 1206 with the same equipment we used behind our 1466 and 1566 - it was running about 150hp. 24' 490 disk in any soil. It's hydraulics would only lift one wing of the disk at a time.

I've been pulling a 16ft all morning my deere 4320.
Pretty compary hp and size to a 1206. Doesn't
know it's back there. I'd think one in the 20ft range
would be a good match.

I pull a White 256 at 14 foot with my 170 hp Ford . I could pull more but when you get wider the cutting decreases because of the snow shoe effect. It pulls easy and I can use a higher gear to improve economy.
