Long 460 Piston Cap Screw Springs

So, i recently tried to do some preventative maintenance on my Long 460. After putting on new fuel filters, i bled the system according to the manual i found online.

During the process, i loosened the piston screw cap, on the bottom side of the injector pump, too much and the springs came out. There are three springs all of which are different sizes. I cannot find anything on their configuration. The two larger springs sit inside each other, but i am not sure what you do with the smallest one.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of a diagram or have an explanation for me? It has been two weeks of tinkering with no luck. Thank you for you time. Zach.

What IP did they use, CAV or a CAV copy or???? A photo would sure help! Just as a blind GUESS, sounds like you took the advance mechanism apart on a CAV pump.

I believe it is a CAV. Attached are two photos. the front end loader is in the way.

(quoted from post at 12:36:14 04/25/15) The bleeder screw is the one above it and to the left a little bit.

yes, sir. I realize that. My question is about the assembly configuration of the three springs under the cap that the arrow is pointing to.

(quoted from post at 14:18:43 04/25/15) Below is a link to a CAV parts manual (.pdf format). There's probably a half-dozen exploded views of various speed advance or start retard mechanisms shown with 3 springs. Maybe there's one like your's.

GOOD LUCK!

Thank you. I am hopeful there is one like mine as well.
