It's something how some rejoice when it rains and others rejoice if they get a day without rain.
We have had our share this month already with 100% chance of rain today.

Almost 9.5 inches in a month? We only get 5-6 inches per year here in the desert, so we do rejoice when we get any amount of rain.

9.5 inches and it is raining now.
We still have 1 more week to go.

This is wet for even us in April.
Our big rains come in the summer months.

We get over 60 inches of rain a year and rank in the top 3 of wettest places in U.S.
But we rank in the high 30's to low 40's of states if you consider days per year it rains.
So you can see when it rains here it really rains.
Over 12 inches of rain in one day while not common happens every few years.

Now you can see why when some of you come on here and say we got 4 inches of rain this week and all the fields are flooding I have to chuckle and think what would you do if it really rained.

We have only about 5+ inches so far in W SC so far this month, more than usual but rainfall varies here. It has rained today, more forecast.
