The climate in Britain is not suitable for growing Maize as a grain crop. But Maize for animal feed silage & for bio-mass is big agri business.
The large hopper contains granular fertilizer [also known as bag-muck here  ]

What are the small boxes mounted on the fertilizer boxes for? That marker wheel sure digs a furrow!
Thanks for posting.

PTO driven air fan - the little hoppers are for insecticide or pesticide application

This TM120 has been a good tractor, sometimes develops more power when the drivers tweak the pump with the "magic spanner" until the owner finds out!

I am surprised to see such wide row spacing since it is being planted as a forage crop. It is grown here in the US on 30-40"
row widths for seed harvest but usually 7.5 or 10" for forage and usually at a higher population when in narrow rows. I
wonder why the wide rows in your neck of the woods?

Rows are 30" wide, with a seed rate of 40,500 per acre.

Need wide rows for nice Badgers & Rabbits to travel up & down the fields
