What do you guys think? White Trash or what?!?! :)

Pretty proud of myself... Garbage piece of steel, and a short pipe at the bottom = 2 3/8 bolts, then a hose clap towards the top, and it is good to go! :)

If I could find that copy of Michigan Madman,I'd scan the picture of Ugly Tractor with the beach umbrella on it.

You'll have to forgive me but I had to laugh just a little. Sorry. But hey, it will keep the sun off and that is what matters. I would have put a yellow John Deere one on it. Always liked those old Farmalls.

Please! Feel free to laugh it up!!!!

Mom was about rolling on the deck when she saw it! :)

I am proud of it, but I admit, it looks like sh!t!!! :)

HEY! It does not look that bad and it will be as good as any factory made when it comes to keeping you in the shade. And shame on those who laugh at others who try to make do with what they have. Farmer ingenuity is what made our country great.

Here you go EJ. LOL
Note the raincoat tied underneath to keep it from leaking on the track.

Looks just like my D17 Allis during hay season. I had a blue canvas umbrella till the canvas tore in a windstorm. Now I have the same umbrella, covers larger area sets a bit higher and works great! May look a bit weird but it's not good looks I'm after when it hot in the field.

Nice tractor too!

Hi Bryce
I look at it the same as when my bosses daughter first visited Canada in the winter, it was - 20 oc and she was out in the barn with us shivering. i kinda said go put your winter stuff on. She looked at me and said I'll look a right dork and guys will laugh. I said well you'd be better warm like we are than them laughing at you when you froze to death!.
In your case you'd look better with that in the field than being as red as the tractor the next day, after being in the direct sun!.

Oh by the way your not done yet with accessories, you need to replace the seat with a canvas folding lawn chair with cup, or beer can holders in the arm rests;) L.O.L
Regards Robert

It's a V12 Allison strapped up to a truck rearend. Has a tank retriever transmission and boat trailer tires on the front.
That wasn't the picture I was really looking for. When he won the national championship,he had a beach umbrella with a fringe around it on the darned thing. Cheesed off the guys with all the paint and murals to no end when he won with that ugly thing. There never was a stitch of paint on it. Even the weights were home made.

There has been a black padded office chair on the side of the road... No wheels on it, just the chair... Could totally fab something up and stick it on there! Arm rests and all!!! :)

Well, where is the raw fish, and Margrita bar???? You must listen to way too much Kenny Chesney music.
Just Bustin, Can you tilt it a bit, so you and Casey can have a bit of privacy on ocasion?? HeHe.
Loren, the Acg.

Randy, you gotta be talking about E.J. Potter! A Chevy V-8 in a motorcycle was the first project I remember..The Allison powered tractors came later. I remember seeing him pull at the Ionia free fair in the '70's.

Those Beach jobs dont like much wind not for use in 4th going down the road do you have the bolts holding the batt box to the steering post in place or the steering post sure will play with the throttle.

Double ugly was a W24 Allison. He built the ugly tractor first, then he had one he called the little tractor. Somebody said he couldn't get an Allison powered tractor down to 5000 pounds,so he went home and did it.

Reminds me of the home built AA/fuel altereds that were terrorizing dragstrips all across the country back in the sixties.Anyone remember Wild Willie Borsch?Drove his fuel altered onehanded down the 1320.Sorry to highjack your post Bryce.

If I remember right, Wild Willie only had one hand..He steered with a hook on the steering wheel and the shifter was a push button on the top of the right door. Looked like he was going f0r a Sunday drive with his right arm resting on the door. Those AA/FA were quite a show. Google "Pure Hell"

No it don't, just looks like you are ready to go to a beach party. Never thought about using one of those patio table umbrellas back in the day when I needed one, would have shaded a lot more than those JD ones.

Bryce you might want to add a few more weights on a windy day.

When that one wears out, make sure the next umbrella has some Pink Flowers to match the tractor better..

Bryce, Thanks for showing us it can be done. My wife has issues with too much sun, one of those would definately do the trick, and seem to see old ones being thrown out all the time, think I could use a few on the tractors, will make it easier to get her to help me with the field work!...
