well finished up my oats lastnight a 9! Just before the rain came! Was hoping for 30 acres ended up with 28! Borrowed a drill instead of broadcasting! Worked out good! Looks to be a cold wet week here in western pa!

The cold wet is just what you want. It keeps the seed wet for good germination. When I was a kid I stayed out till after dark one day to finish disking in the oats we had broadcast. Dad grumbled at me for staying out that late, but the next morning we woke up to 6" of snow and we had an excellent stand of oats. I didn't hear a peep about staying out there a little late after that. LOL

I saw a fellow out seeding waterways Sat morning just before the rain. That should do well too.
That was in Brooke township. I got an inch and a quarter here in Larrabee.

Just got nicely started here in Ontario yesterday. A lot of rain in the forecast for the week )and some snow); since that much rain will cause ponding in the fields, I'm glad most of it is still in the bag.
