Dyno service central WI

A few years ago I threw in the towel and closed my shop. I still wrench for a living but I don't get my old tractor fix very often anymore. I had a tractor on the dyno the other day and had a thought. We are always looking for extra work in the summer so why not give a good service and have some fun. Located in Marshfield, WI, we have a PTO dyno that we've decided to put to good use for our antique tractor pulling friends. It's 540 with a pulse damper for the 2 cylinder guys. I run it myself with experience with Marvel and Zenith carburetors, mag and distributors. As a former puller, tuning for that hidden power is no issue. The labor rate is 85 an hour and most dyno runs without tuning can be done in roughly 15 minutes. If timing or fuel needs adjustment, it seldom takes more than 45 minutes or so. Of course if there needs to be jet changes or diagnosis of very low power, it takes a bit more time. I'd like to get this service out there as a lot have forgotten us antique tractor lovers. Give us a ring at 715-387-1106.

I'm confused. You said you closed your shop. But it appears you work for pretty good size motorcycle/powersports dealer in central Wisconsin. Or its this a friends place?

Regardless, you would probably get more interest in the classified section.

I closed my place up about 2 years ago and went to work there. I like the place as it's a lot easier on my knees working on the smaller stuff vs heavy ag equipment. Thank you for the tip on the classified section. It seems once the spring rush is done, we get kind of slow through the summer. Funny story, about a year and a half ago, I was in the warehouse looking for a part and happened to see something that brought a huge smile to my face. It was an M+W PTO dyno in perfect condition. It still has the book and the newest tractor in the book is 1967. After cleaning it up and putting new fluid in it, I would bet it hasn't dynoed a dozen tractors in it's life. At any rate, I've been using it for break-in after a couple overhauls and for verifying correct power on a few complaint machines. I hate to see such a beautiful piece of history just sit and collect dust.
