How to tell the age of my truck tires??

I have a Ford F150 to haul tractor parts and do my local hauling. The tires have about 60% tread, but are getting old and may not be reliable. How can I tell the age of the tires??? Some say there is a date code on the tire. Is it in code, or how to read it?

Google "tire rack.com" Look for how to find the age of a tire. Easy as pie, The last four numbers on the tire. 5207 is 52nd week of the year and the 07 is 2007. Go look Jeffcat.

And if you only have three digits they are at least 20 years old. Look for a small oval with the four numbers(close to the bead).

Thanks to all. I found the number to be 4804. I guess it is time for some new tires. Also found an old receipt under the seat that said tires were installed in January of '05. Should have looked under the seat first.

I know you found it, but this might help others

Every tire place that I know of won't mount them for you if they are five years or older, so if are about to purchase some, be careful. I'm not sure, but I think that one of the tire places that I use said that they are banned from mounting them if 5 years or older.
