Cast iron filler rod

I have some cast iron filler rod that my dad had that I would like to sell. It's 1/4" x 24" long.

Can anyone tell me how much it's worth? I have 4 pounds of it.

I saw some on ebay that is just like what I have for $175.00 for 6 pounds.

Has it ALWAYS been dry ?

Yes it's been dry. I'm not sure if I have the Anti borax cast iron flux that has to used with this rod. I'll have to look.

This rod it used for gas welding.

Sounds expensive.
This rod is just cast iron.

Price it at your supplier.
Is this the stuff in the picture?

Yes that's it. I just looked. I also have the Anti borax cast iron flux that's needed for it.

I buy 50 # boxes of it , it is 8.00 / lb . The anti

borax flux comes from Superior Flux in cleveland and is

one of the best fluxes. I weld manifolds and other cast with

it , way better than any form of arc weld.
