can you Rear tires tubeless ?

I've used lawn tractor tires tubeless for years. plenty of sealer and aired up stiff. Will this work on 9.5x24's and 16.9x24's on good rims? i need to mount 8 tires and i am tired of ruining tubes when the help try to drive in on a flat. They are mowing tractors and I use aircraft tires on the mowers. Perhaps use screws in the beads, plenty of sealer and 35-45psi pressure. any one do this or have an idea?

I bought new 11.2X28 tires and rims for my 1951 8N in 1995 and have been running them tubeless without issues for the past 20 years.

Liability issues are involved. The bead on a conventional tire is way different than tubeless. The bead on tubeless tires (and rims) form an interference fit when against the rim edge. This seal is what keeps air in the tire. A conventional bead is much looser, and not designed to seal. If a worker, driving the tractor, had a blowout on a hill, rolled it and was injured or killed, the investigation would be focused on your "repair" using non-factory procedures and materials. NOPE, Not a Good Idea. Were it your own personal unit only, no issue.

Provided they are tubeless wheels and tubeless tires... it will usually work. I've got several rears around here that are tubeless. That said... I do have a couple of old wheels that ARE tubeless wheels... and the beads flex too much on them to hold air. I suspect new wheels would fix the problem... but at this point tubes are still cheaper than wheels and those tubes haven't given me any real trouble yet...

What makes you think the help will listen to "don't mow in the ditches" when they won't listen to "don't drive on a flat tire?"

Frankly if they're dumb enough to drive on a flat and ruin the tire and tube, they sure as heck can manage to flip the tractor over on top of themselves on flat level dry ground.

I run 18.4 x 34 tractor tires designed for tubes with out the tubes.
I put a gallon of Multi-Seal in the tire and use bead sealer or spray flex sealer to mount the tires. I will usually have to use starting fluid to get the tire on the bead. Multi-seal works better than Slime.
The air pressure will still need to be checked once in a while.Leaks that don't stop with the sealer can be plugged with string repairs.
