Running Transparent Small Engine

I was able to see one of these just like this one at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa back in 1986. I have some pictures of it in my photo album but this video is much better. The man that owned the one I saw in Mt. Pleasant told me that a small engine business owner had owned it before him. When he saw it he said he just had to have it. Not sure what he gave for it but I'm sure it wasn't cheap.

WOW that is WAY cool. You can bet that is a Pyrex heavy chunk of glass. Most likely you have about one minute run time on it. Very neat. Thanks

I got to play with one my senior year of high school (1974-75). It was very interesting the difference ignition timing and fuel mixture made to the combustion color.

somebody made a transparent piston once for an automobile engine. An offset camera could film the spark & combustion from underneath the piston. Only lasted about a minute but enough to film while the engine ran.
