Battery opinion

I normally buy john Deere batteries, but I'm not convinced they are as good as they use to be? I stopped at a new Theisen Store ( farm and ranch ) that just opened in Sparta WI. To check it out. I saw these batteries, just wondering if anybody has used/knows anything about them. They are for my 4010 John Deere. The Cold Crank (460) rate is the same as Farm and Fleet Store ones that have been in the tractor for about 8 years. Note $ 85 dollar price. Thanks

Not sure about the ones from farm stores like Theisens.

I have recently sworn off John Deere batteries though. Seems like they changed the specs about 5 years ago that was when I started having problems at least. Had a number of sets that went bad at right at a year old. Tired of changing them and don't need the practice.

I did put a farm store battery in something and I think it is still working.

As a rule I am now using Interstate. Bit of a pain over Deere cause Deere had almost everything in stock and Interstate keeps fresh stock so not real extensive inventory but it is much easier to wait and not have to replace everyyear.
