It must be Spring

Two Harleys just wend down the main road adjacent to my house. Hope those dudes had hand warmers on their ape hangers. At least they didn't have to worry about a head on with a bumble bee. HeHe.

I don't think they ever park them here. Some of these yo-yo's think they HAVE to ride them on New Years Day. I went to a funeral just before Christmas and a bunch of them showed up there.

It is amazing. Folks have enough time and money to buy a 'Harley. Then they get together for a 'Ride'. I see several groups that come our way every summer (we have 50 kms of windy road between ferries). ALL 50 + and they all look alike in their outfits and bikes. Not for me. Kinda sad . 'Real BIKERS with the tattoos and such--- it's a lifestyle---nobody cares. My $.02.

We rode today, 68 and sunny in N MN! Wife bought herself a nice little Yamaha Virago 250 today, looks like a little Harley. She has been talking about it for awhile, she had a bike for a few years before we we had children, 40 years ago.

Sure seems like its time for spring....however....I can't recall when I've seen
so much ice on Panther Creek on April 1st, the first day of trout season.

Yup, can you carry your tip-ups in the saddle bags?? Saw people ice fishing on two lakes here yesterday.

Yes, spring is in the air. Tuesday night I was outside around midnight, the moon was near full and I could hear geese flying north. Wednesday we had unseasonably high temps in Central MN, 78F, but 30 to 50 MPH gusting winds kept most motorcyclists from riding. At times I could feel the wind rock my 1/2 ton pickup.

Wednesday I stopped at the dam in Hutchinson. The river still had ice on it, but it was deep black with some foot wide cracks. You could see open water upstream, so the river ice won't last too much longer. In the short time I was there, two groups walked across the big stones crossing the river. The first group was a half dozen young women, the second group was a near middle aged couple. Yes, spring is in the air.
