Value of a 1953 Ford Jubilee

Gentlemen - I have the opportunity to purchase a 1953 Ford Jubilee. Mechanically it's sound, runs great, no oil leaks or other fluids. The body needs a good sanding and paint job but no rust to speak of and it is definitely all original. Rather than tell you the price I've been offered.......or if protocol says so, I'll be glad to let you know.
Please give me a range, ok and thank you for your help!

IIRC it has the much rarer vane-hydraulic pump which can be problematic versus the 100 series pumps. OHV is a plus. Transmission driven PTO. I saw a very usable Ford 660 sell for 1050 back in Feb of this year with pretty decent tires. Without seeing it and hearing it I would have a lot of trouble going past 1500 dollars. For my area the abundance of compact diesels has diminished the selling price of the older gray and red Fords. It may be different where you live. The days are gone where you could run a classified ad for Saturday for a beat 8N and have four guys fight for the "privilege" of paying 3500 dollars for it and maybe getting a pair of shot tire chains and/or a shot 5 foot cutter.

$2000-2500? Sounds about right to me for a nice running tractor of that size. Maybe drop it down to $1500-2000 if it isn't "awesome" condition... Hard to say without seeing it! How are the tires? Any equipment coming with it? Bryce

Saw one sell in nice original shape, with all hydraulic loader, fair tires, for $1800 on an auction last summer. I thought that was a decent deal.

Much depends on tires and location.
I would almost call BS on "all original" site unseen.
I have a lot of Fords but don't own a single one that is [i:130e6d934e][b:130e6d934e]all[/b:130e6d934e][/i:130e6d934e] original.

I've bought two '53 Jubilees in the past year for $500 each.
Both would run but needed work and tires. The one in the picture
came with a back blade and new rear rims but had a bad engine knock.

I passed on one in great shape, ran excellent, good tires and had
power steering for $2000. Probably should have bought that one.
It would have been a lot less work than the other two!

Jubilees are good machines, but some parts can be harder to find
than a later 600 model. Like the under body hydraulic lines.
Those can be found, but they are pricey.

If the vane pump has been replaced with the piston style you
will have better luck getting rebuild parts for the pump if needed.

I agree, make sure hyd pump is round. That means it's been graded and you can get repair
parts for around $200. If it has a square hyd pump, run Forest RUN. Just because it's a
Jubilee, IMHO, really doesn't make it worth a penny more. I have one and wished I had a
newer 600 with remote hyd and live PTO.

If there is proof it's been totally rebuilt, new tires, and you need one, go for it. You
can easily put a pant load in just tires on the $500 Jubilee.
