Picture, what are they used for?

These are commonly used in the market(not food market) to check measurements and to smooth out each unit.Two different tools,both work for the same problem. See if you can give the correct answer.

I usually don't want to display my ignorance, but that first plier has a look of the lock wire twister plier I've used. But, it definitely does not have the lock or twist mechanism.

As for the second one, I am stumped. It looks to grab a string-like item over a radius. Again, thanks for the puzzle.

Let me know eventually what they are.

the answer is over on tool talk to Tony Vidlak, you were in the ballpark with it having to do with wire.
