More light - LEDs

I do a lot of night work, on my machines I typically add a set or two of cheap 55w halogen fog/driving lamps (1300 lumen). I have been looking at the LED round lights and light bars. A lot more light and less amperage, of course they cost more.

Anybody have worthy LED recommendations, that are worth the extra $$ above the standard H3 55w lights? There are plenty to choose from off websites and Amazon, but looking for real world recommendations.

Thanks
Rick

This is of course AC not DC but I put on a post recently about the LED drop light that I got recently after my Flourescent died. it makes a lot of light, can be dropped from four feet no problem, and of course is consuming a lot less coal. my only concern is the steady deterioration of the lense due to sparks. I need to look into a replacement for that.

Check Ebay. My son found 5" round LED's on Ebay and puts them on his feed trailers. They are a real godsend for maneuvering a semi at night. Of course they don't have to shine out far, just far enough to keep the driver from putting the wheels in the ditch or ramming the auger into something but they are wonderful for what he needs them for. He came up with a box of a dozen for something like $13.00 each. This afternoon he's replacing the regular 5" lights on the 4650 with these LED's. I put a light bar with something like 60 LED's on the front of the cab on the 1086 just at roof line. Haven't had a chance to try it out at night yet but it's too bright to look at when it's on.
