: Any help would be appreciated...My "L" Series book shows 60 ft-#'s for Hercules NX engines but nothing for the John Deere engine except to "tighten cap screws evenly, working from the center outward, until all are tight." Suggest you call Jack Kreeger at (402)571-2824 in Omaha, Nebraska. He also has a book he has put together on the L, LA, etc. series tractors that is well worth the $20 postpaid he charges.
