Just wondering how many tractors is an individual allowed to sell on the photo ads before you are classified a dealer and the posting ad is fee based. I think some of these guys are taking advantage of the policy of YT photo ads.

There probably isn't a hard limit. It's up to the user to have the honor and integrity to pay for the services if used for profit.

Of course there are always people who take advantage and abuse any privilege.

Maybe you should contact the Authorities and register a complaint. I believe if I were you I would hire an Investigator (at your expense, since you are so worried) and go through the archives to see if you can catch the perpetrators. It is certainly one of the more important issues we are all facing as a Country.

On second thought, maybe you should contact the ones you are concerned about and see if they possibly have made some nice contributions to this site. Did you ever think that possibly some of the people you are worried about actually donates?

It really gets me to see people take on worries that they are not asked to, nor do they get any compensation for. How much money have you contributed to this site? Bob

I have heard that if you enter an add as a dealer it doesn't show up for a day or so. Nobody will ever see it because it is buried down 100 adds. Lots of people sell more than one tractor a year that they probably intended to keep when they bought it. I think a dealer is someone who makes a living selling equipment not someone who does it as a hobby. We are all very fortunate to have a great site like this to trade on without it costing a fortune.

The dealer donation for ads is easy to answer. All one needs to do is click on dealer ads to find a big fat ZERO. Wouldn't you think dealer ad fees would help grease YT's wheels?

Not sure what you are saying Jim. In my case, I don't sell as a dealer even though I have sold several tractors on here. I can guarantee you that I couldn't make any kind of a living at it, and probably it's more of a money looser to me. I try to save them from the scrapper and sell accordingly.

I have donated manuals, memorabilia, old advertising, and money to this site over the years. How would anyone know what I contributed to this site? Is there a spot on the dealers ad that tell this? Never looked at it I guess. I am just speaking of myself, not everyone. My point is what in the world, in the total scheme of things, can it possibly matter to someone other than the owners of this site? Bob

Look at the Minor North Dakota and Wesley
Iowa adds. They are not only flat out dealers,
They advertise on several websites. Sometimes
the same overpriced tractor for years on end

All I stated was for all the individuals that post classified ads on YT that are known dealers that if one looks at the dealer ad section there are no dealer paid for ads. My Statement has no implication towards you.
