Raiders of The Lost Plane

If anyone can safely land a faulty WWII plane on a golf course it's Han Solo......he did make that Kessel run in 12 parsecs.

Any landing you can walk away from is a good one.

Rumor has it that Brian Williams was his co-pilot and that Williams actually landed the plane.

Williams allegedly took control of the aircraft after Ford had a panic attack and passed out.

Williams requested anonymity for his heroic action.

His absolute best was the cool driver of the '56 Chebby in American Graffiti. No doubt!!

A local couple crashed their Ryan when its Kinner engine busted a jug over Iowa. They put it down in a cornfield, where the tall corn flipped it over on its back. The wife was able to crawl out of the rear cockpit, but her husband was stuck until rescuers arrived to lift up the plane.

I just happened to have the news on last night when they did the press conference.

The idiot questions some of the "reporters" asked had me alternating between rolling on the floor in laughter and just sitting there slack jawed and bug-eyed.

The poor bugger doing the pressor had that "God, get me out of here!!!!" look on his face. I felt sorry for hm.

My claim to fame certainly isn't my intelligence, but good grief, how have we descended to this level of general ignorance?

When I fly with my friend Bob he always asks me how the landing was and I always tell him that "any landing that when it's over and I'm not bleeding is a good one." gm

Small world out there. I sold a Ryan ST-2KR fuselage just like the plane that Harrison Ford crashed. I hauled it to Pocatello Idaho where it's new owners has enough parts to build a really nice WWII plane.

The new owners shared stories of Harrison Ford actually coming from his Jackson Hole Wy. home to take his flying lessons at their little airport north of Pocatello Id. They said he was just a regular guy and would hang out in a hanger and do coffee with the old timers.

Harrison Ford later went on to local fame when he flew his on helicopter as part of a winter rescue attempt of a lost skier/winter hiker?. Locals still laugh about the young girl who was elated to see the helicopter land to rescue her......and then see a famous movie star piloting it !!

It was a future/vintage plane!
