I usually would post this on t tales, but Bandit farmer was interested in NJ,so I wanted to make sure he caught it,Its snowing here in NJ,and is supposed to snow all day. The wifes work is closed ,so she needed her computer for a while this morning,I Didnt want to get in her way,and it had just started to snow,so I took a walk. I decided to take my camera a take pictures of whatever caught my eye.
Im heading toward the village, and old town within walking distance from us,just taking some pictures along the way.
Surprisingly enough there is a patch of bamboo along the way,it does survive in nj
one of the neighbors planted it in the corner of his lot
passing what used to be the post office for the village
There are some really old historic houses in the village
this is the oldest one
this is my favorite, and I Know the owners well ,I will get a few close ups
Ilike the arches
Fancy wood work on the side porch
the snow is deeper to get to the river
the river is stocked ,and is a good trout catching spot
walking over the bridge to cross the river
the church in the village
Many years ago,the original steeple blew off the church in a bad storm, the church people made a gazebo of it
some scences from the other side of the bridge,on the way back home
Im pretty sure this used to be a smoke house
this old barn was turned into an office
a corncrib hallway leads to the other part
The whole village is 25 mph speed limit
there are still some original wells, not used ,but still surviving
Time to head home now I would like to walk more, but,at my age thats all the mileago I Can get get from a cup of coffee(if you know what I mean,,lol)
