JD 350 track loader

what is the difference of a JD 350 and a 350B track loader. What is the best way to free up the motor that has been sitting for years it will turn over 360 but is overloading the starter

There are just minor differences. Early 350s have a few different parts in the hydraulic reverser and track-frames. Minor differences in a few engine parts although they have the same power. As far as using them go - both are basically the same.

Cranking partly around then getting stuck can be rust on a cylinder wall, stuck valves, etc.

#1 you sure the starter is not going bad??
#2 if you can pull the injectors out and fill the cylinders with ATF and turpentine mixed 50/50. Let it sit a week or so that way.
#3 after a week try spinning it over and see if that helped.

could test it by removing the plate on the engines lower left side & prying the flywheel with a big screwdriver. If it turns easily you can start it by pulling it with another vehicle if it doesn't have a reverser. Should start by the time you pull it the length of itself.

Start with the simple stuff- is the battery good? Are the cables and connections good? Is the starter shot? When I rebuilt my 1010 CLB I had to get a new starter. It would spin the engine over fine before the rebuild. A tight engine and the weakness showed up.
