Some body will have to tell us the year it is ,I dont know,,,,,

Body looks like the 1950 Plymouth that Dad had. Dodge probably had fluid drive, at least my 1950 Dodge Wayfarer (2dr) had fluid drive.

Is that even legal to charge that much more for using a credit card? Or is the operator hiding a whack of cash ? Normal CC charge is 2%

I believe it's against the law to advertise two different prices....cash vs credit. Price can be displayed offering a cash discount, but not the other way.

He is charging 3.5 %. He could easily be paying that much. I do not know of any small business that get by on 2% like some are saying. It takes some bigger stores to get the surcharge down to 2%.

When I sold lawn mowers we where charged 4% for most charge cards and some like Discover charged even more.

Not so in Tennessee very common to see it that way. Why should I have to pay as much cash as your credit card use cost the merchant 2/3 % .

Larry,my Dad owned a 51 DeSota, very much like that Dodge. My guess it is a 49 or 50 model. Also had an Uncle who owned a Chrysler/Plymouth dealership. I spent many an hour around those then new cars.

I feel sure that the vehicle is a 1950 year. The 49s and 51s had different grills.
would you believe that the MSRP was less than $2000.00?

loox like the copperhead road dodge! ,, my dad owned a top of the line 57 Desoto , that was red and white , 4 door htp,, that car would fly , it was ahead of its time with torsion bar suspension it held the road like it loved it ,, dad also owned a black and white top 60 Desoto , but he soon traded it off , but the red Desoto stayed until 1970

That looks like a modern gas pump. Does the price drop to the cash price if you pay at the pump with a debit card instead of with a credit card?

Where?

I have a 82 yr.old farmer customer that still has his 1950 black 4 dr.Packard that was bought new,has approx. 47xxx miles. He just recently put on 4 new wide white wall tires on it.

He also has an Orange colored 1968 Merc.Cyclone Fastback{bought new} that is his main car,has very low milage.

1950 Dodge it is---!
Bought one in 1968---Refurbished it in 1973.Made one good car out of the parts from five. Ended up with extra "stuff" on it. Plymouth O-drive trans, both 6 and 12V generators so I could have AM/FM radio w/8-track player, air conditioning. Sunvisor, fender skirts, dual exhaust, curb feelers, and new upholstery. This was our vacation car. Traveled from Helena, Montana to the NW, and Ashville, NC to the SE. Sold the car in about 1990.

I had a 1949 Dodge Coronet here's a picture of my wife and of me in the Army in 1953. It used oil
until my dad had new rings installed. We drove it to Florida in 1955 just before I was discharged. Never used any oil and I pulled our mobile home from Ft Bragg back to MD. We complained to the dealer and wouldn't do squat about the oil consumption. My wife isn't showing, but she was pregnant. Hal
PS: I was sent to Ft Jackson SC before being sent to Ft Bragg.
