Morning news monkey announced that the 'Greater Vancouver Area' has the highest gas prices in North America -- lucky us. ($4.27 per US gallon here, $4.68 in Van.)

My store is still selling regular $1.99 but said tomorrow it would be $ 2.14. Guess it is going to ease back up

Here in Iowa they raised the gas tax $.10....so gas went up $.20. It's our fault, as soon as they started talking about it in Des Moines we should of started the recall petitions. Or started a ballet initiative that would allow them to raise the gas tax when gas prices are low BUT reduce the gas tax when gas prices go up.

Gas went up in Minnesota too, without a tax increase. Minneapolis paper has a story that the US is running out of storage for crude oil. Is the Strategic Oil Reserve full?

We don't get "ease back up". It jumped from a 'low' of $.989 l to $1.129 l in one day here (worse in Vancouver). Or $.52 per US gal.

Funny you mention the taxi's in Vancouver. I was out there a few weeks back and the taxi I took was a Prius.
