Got back to Lima today and took a pic of the starting line for my antigravity interpretive dance. You know, in case there was any doubt that I'm a klutz

Frost heave ? You should see some them here, looks like an earthquake area, I don't recall seeing so many and so prolific, those with low ground clearance need to be aware for sure. I passed over one that was at least a foot above grade, ramped up mind you, being asphalt, but anyone in a truck is going to think they ran over something or someone LOL ! Well maybe not so with air ride, that was a new thing when I drove full time, all I can remember was camel back Mack rear spring suspension, and Reyco spring suspension, hit these while empty, at speed, you had best have your air seat adjusted right, they sure did ride rough.

That picture was taken just after I had a nice long visit with him, he was on his way there at the time.

Got a couple on the way to pick up TMR that will about throw you out of a the truck at 35 mph. They show up about this time every year. Some fun!

Before they put the new road across Rt. 177 on Tug Hill, when Pop used to haul fertilizer, we would get to yapping and Pop would hit one of those frost heaves hard enough we would have to stop and slide the side racks back into the stake holes.

I supose??

I could tell ya to pickup your feet! ??

But that might not help now, But maybe
next ?? Wink.....

Just glad your able to dance,,,,,

We'll see ya next trip..

Thanks for a great visit Leroy! I really enjoyed the time and talk! We'll do it again some time I hope.

The worst was the old S series IH's , I drove a few of those for the lumber yard, flatbed and box van for mill work and this same road had those projected heaves then. There is an old concrete road bed underneath, they just mill it down every so many years and top it off with asphalt, eventually they heave again as whats underneath projects back upward. Hit these empty, same thing, bench seat, the whole back end comes off the road. I remember the dump box on the R model mack would feel or sound like it was coming off, when hitting these while empty.
