Well you read it right, there bringing back the Pontiac trans am firebird, looks like it's just gonna be a camaro with different bumpers and body lines basically. Here's the link, should be available somewhat soon, I'm not a huge fan of them but some might, I like the 1977-1979 but new cars I'd get a challenger
Trans am

Those pics have been out for at lease a year now. I think those were custom builds for SEMA and not planned production models. Perhaps shown from companies offering conversion kits. Just google [i:aaec062834]Camaro Firebird Conversion[/i:aaec062834] and you will see. Besides, the new Camaro model being developed and tested right now is the 2016 model, which should be available this summer. I doubt they would bring out a 2015 bird and then change it over in one year to the newest verison. The article is compelling, but I really don't see it happening at all. Pontiac no longer exists.

When I first saw the Challengers I though, wow they look just as nasty as the old ones. Nasty being a good thing. I think they could have jazzed up the interior some though.

Pontiac's done, how they going to do that for one car, only thing I miss about Pont.is old GTO's, sounded fast sitting still.

I like the old ones, but most old ones restored nice bring new car price, and then when you spend that much I'd ask my self if id want to drive the old one or just keep it in the garage looking nice, but for the same price I'd probably get new, just for the reliability issue, and once the new hellcats come down a bit in price I would sure like to own one, just think one of those would be a lot of fun. I've always wanted a 69 charger general lee, but then again a nice one is 40,000+, nothing's cheap anymore though

If I google " Is Pontiac coming back " .The first hit says GM says Pontiac is not coming back . Also I am in the POCI [ Pontiac Oakland GMC club] and the club magazine would be all over that news. { Although I have to pay dues ].

Released ? By WHO? There IS NO Pontiac division left to release it. A darn shame too if you ask me. It should have been Buick that was knocked in the head IMHO...

Well If you look on the Internet it says Pontiac name won't come back, but will be on this one model built along side camaros, and sold at Chevy dealers who sell camaros is what I found. I found on the Internet, time will tell

Yeah, it would seem to me there would be way too much required paperwork to reinstate the entire brand for only one somewhat unusual model. I hate chevy Pontiac mixes myself . But then again your not buying any new Pontiacs. Darn foreign cars.

It is at a minimum partially a hoax, I have seen
somewhere a black camaro with new front molded
airdam front and rear, with hood scoop and the
bird painted on it. Not really a Trans Am, more
of a Trans gender camaro, nice try, but not really
worth much.

There is a company in Detroit area that has made a really good looking and fitting kit. Look up Projx Trans Am.

Just because fiat owns them you can hate them all you want, if
you wanna call it a fiat then say it's sad a fiat is showing ford
and gm how to build a modern day muscle car, because it
looks similar to the old one and the new hellcat will take both
the mustang and camaro in the 1/4 mile. If fiat wouldn't of bought them out what woulda happened to all those jobs in the U.S., yeah you guessed right thousands of Americans would of been short jobs and then you'd be complaining on them being on unemployment, the way I see it. Fiat owns 51% not the whole company, same with case/new holland
