Self explanatory - more truck accidents

The thing that gits my nanny goat is, when they report an accident, even if its just a pickup truck, they will say, truck wreck caused a lot of damage.
Right away people will conjure up in their mind a semi-truck, and form an opinion before the facts are presented.
Has anyone else noticed that bias against trucks?

I think I get it, Jon. Any time a truck is involved in a crash, it seems to automatically point to the truck driver as the fault for the crash. One of the many reasons that I retired from the trade.

One time, I was parked at a dock in Philadelphia. Due to space limitations, I had uncoupled from the trailer and parked alongside it in a LEGAL designated spot. A lady driving her boyfriend's van came along, hit the trailer, then swerved into my parking space and hit my tractor. Then, later on tried to sue the trucking company for her damages. Some people got nerve!!!

I suspected that, but thought there might be a posibility that he meant the car drivers were morons for hitting stuff that they could easily have avoided if they were better drivers. I was giving him the benifit of the doubt.

Think that one of the points that can be made about the truck going off the road and the steel beams being thrown into the oncoming lane (anyway that is the way I read it) is that every driver needs to be completely aware of what is going on around him as the unexpected can happen at any time, i.e., oncoming vehicle runs off road and into the oncoming lane of traffic, tire blow-out on a vehicle just ahead of you and the list goes on.

There was a wreck up by Lexington last week, the way I read it, a car lost it, spun through the median into oncoming traffic, hit a Jeep Liberty, and killed 3 of the 5 people in the liberty.

I thought everyone knew that truck accidents are caused by drivers with necks over seventeen inches.

Yes, and bias against any SUV too, even if it it's really one.
