I have an old tractor mid 60's that has a Detroit 4-71--behind the engine is a 5 speed manual transmission that goes into a Rockewll T 223 C 1 transfer case. It is a 2 speed hi low transfer case with 4x4 drive.
Can't find a name on the Tranny---either a Fuller or Spicer.......What is there to look for to tell what one I have????
Thank you....The tractor is a M R S made in Flora, Mississippi in the 60's

Sounds like you've got a Seamon tractor. The couple I've looked at had Fuller 5 speed main transmissions, 4-71 Detroit engines and Timken rear axles.

Hello Bob will try again with a pic

Try to put on a couple pics of the tranny a number on the main casting is DH 190.
PICS aren't very good.

The photo helps......and yours is definitely NOT a Seamon! Rather it's gotta be a Mississippi Road Supply.

Can't help you on the transmission - M-R-S tractors are pretty rare here up north (I've never seen one). It looks however very similar to the Wagner WA 9. The Wagner had a Fuller 10 speed truck transmission.
