I have a 50s model Ford 600 Tractor that has power steering fluid leaking from the steering column under the steering wheel and the shaft for the steering wheel. Any experts on this that can advise? I will attache a couple pic of the tractor. Maybe ya'll can help me identify exactly what tractor this is and what my problem is with the leak.

Any help would really be appreciated. This leak makes my tractor non usable.

You might try and post this in the ford section of this site you
might get more help some more pics will help with the model as
will a serial number it should be on the left hand side of the
clutch housing behind the starter

There is a seal repair kit that you can buy for that from the New Holland Dealer. Maybe other vendors have it too, not sure.

The gear shift tells me it is a 5 speed so depending on live PTO or not would be a 650 or 660 or if it was the workmaster model with red hood would be the 6X1 series and 651 or 661

I have been through this issue before. I tried the kit to replace the seals. A lot of work but it did not solve the problem. Went to salvage yard and bought a used replacement and problem solved. Once the steering motor is worn out it needs a complete rebuild that is best done by an expert.
