You are correct. He played Frankenstein after Boris Karloff quit because he wanted to do more speaking than the directors wanted.

I remember one episode where they showed Vera. Pretty good looking woman. I think it was a Thanksgiving show or something. They were all at Norm's house if I remember right.

Chester Good. On the radio it was Chester Fleetfoot. THere was another bartender before Sam, back before Miss Kitty bought the saloon. I think his name was Burt.

What was Matts job before becoming a US Marshall?

What character started off in a recurring role as Festus' aunt and then reappeared in later years as a different character who was so popular she got a spin off show of her own?

You're right on Proudfoot! Dang my memory. Doc got the gaeln name when they needed a name for the character. Milburn Stone either knew or found the history on the ancient greek doctor Galen and suggested that name.

Doc on the radio show was Howard McNear (sp?), Floyd the barber from the Andy Griffith show. Or so says my memory...
