I remember one episode where they showed Vera. Pretty good looking woman. I think it was a Thanksgiving show or something. They were all at Norm's house if I remember right.

You're right on Proudfoot! Dang my memory. Doc got the gaeln name when they needed a name for the character. Milburn Stone either knew or found the history on the ancient greek doctor Galen and suggested that name.

Doc on the radio show was Howard McNear (sp?), Floyd the barber from the Andy Griffith show. Or so says my memory...
