building a mobile a shop on cargo trailer put in a voltage converter it show a ground to the frame from neg.battery and then to the power box . and also a grown from the converter to the frame. when i wired the trailer i run a hot with a grown not wanting to use the trailer as a ground. my question is do i need to ground the battery to the frame.

I would because at any time there is no chassis ground, the equipment could create stray voltages and smoke can be let out of very expensive equipment. Jim
