I was checking fuses and relay for non-working blower motor. Next morning I discovered I left the key ON overnight. Thought the battery was dead and charged it but it didn't take much. Now the truck is dead. No light, no chimes, nuttin. Did I fry something expensive? 5.4L gas.

Do you have lights and chimes when the charger is on it?

Batteries don't like to be frozen when they are dead. Pretty frosty over your way lately, Wife had -10 yesterday on her way to work just south of you yesterday or day before.

May or may not help. Disconnect the battery. Put battery on charger for a while (I'm not being rude here). The trick is to let the computer cool down/reset. Hopefully this works for you, did for a pal with a similar trukk. HPH

Batteries don't like to go clear flat, especially older ones. I have had them not take a charge after that.

OK, thanks for all the advice. The battery is one year old and I don't think it went dead or froze. It's warming up in the house. May be that the computer shuts down after a time if it sees key on but no start, then it would take a disconnect to reset. I'll try it tomorrow and post back the results.
