Mid-1930's industrial with bulb horn & rear view mirror, chain drive to winch off belt pulley

Late-1930's industrial with agricultural wheels, front guard and winch driven by belt off the belt pulley

Another late-1930's but fitted with different make cast iron wheel centres, and front & rear fenders

Bare winch before fitting

That's putting some ballast on the back end! Looks like it mates up to where the axle housings or "trumpets" would be. The bottom rounded plates, shaped like a shovel must be what bites into the earth once tension is established on the line.

Thanks for the pictures! I didn't realize they had a downdraft carb, and a dry air filter.

Wow, that is pretty neat. I however wonder how long the bearings lasted on the belt pulley housing with a chain sprocket mounted to it, that couldn't slip or flop a belt off?? Also with that boat ancore that stabed into the ground, I bet that an operator could stall that Fordson out on a really hard pull. Did the operator just use the tractor clutch to operate the winch, or was there a clutch on the winch? all I could see in the pic was a lever to probably shift the spool in neutral to spool it out. I presume the hand crank wheel was used to raise and lower the boat ancore.

That Tildesley feller must have been the largest dealer in the country! I have enjoyed all the photos and appreciate your sharing.
