I have a post down under CONSTRUCTION , but thought there is more action up here.
This tractor is an MRS----Mississippi Road Service. I am going to try to put up pics of the transfer case. This is a mid 1960's tractor with a Detroit 4-71 with what I think is a Spicer 5 speed tranny hooked to an auxiliary 2 speed transfer case for hi-and low speed plus the transfer case activates the front 4x4. I am trying to get the name of this TRANSFER CASE.
Also please look down under the construction forum to see my problem. Thank you.

Looks to me like a Rockwell built case for 2 1/2 ton military trucks. If I recall right It was used on the A M General built trucks I built up a few of them working for the Rock.

I can for sure say that the 60's and 70's model 10 wheeler military trucks did have a hi-low transfer.

Lenray, I have to back up on the truck that was used on. It was the 5 ton truck. The deuce didn't used that style transfer case. Trying to remember the number of the transfer case, was either a T138 or a T800. First Rockwell plant I worked at Kenton, Ohio I machined those brake drums, 60 pieces a shift. Assembled the t-cases at Marysville, oh plant.

A lot of the monster trucks use the 5 ton axles and transfer cases.

Definately not what was used in the Deuce 2 1/2 ton, I have one and that does not look like my T-case at all.
