Ford 2 row picker sheller and 1 row picker videos and pics

Finally got to try the sheller out and it worked great. It came out of Bruno, Nebraska and the guys dad bought it new and he thought his dad only used it a couple years and it had been in the shed since then and I believe it. The cylinder bars look like brand new in it. The one row had also been in the shed for several years

Here's the sheller

What year were they built? I remember going to the
Mn. state fair and seeing that 2-row on their lot.
This would have been early to mid 60s. Does that
sound right?

Thanks for the shows!

My Dad had a Farmall M with a mounted two row picker and did his and several custom jobs each year. There was no place for a rider but I loved following and watching it work.

Before the mounted picker he had a single row Woods Bros. Hee, just remembered I still have the tool box off it. Love the memories.

Thanks for the videos. I still think those years of Ford tractors are some of the best looking ones around.

I have a Ford 981 Demonstrator that I hope to restore. I can't make my mind up which color to paint it. That Red and Cream look nice and the gold is ugly. LOL

Great pics and videos, thanks. Is the corn on 40 inch rows? Pic of a sheller at a local show.

Its on 38 inch rows.

You must be from eastern Kansas I'm pretty sure that is Jan Garber's sheller. Has been a lot of phone calls back and forth while we both have been restoring the shellers at the same time. His has the older style picking heads and ours has the newer style they switched to in 61. Trying to find a 1 row sheller like he has
