I ground hog feed today. I always use the loader tractor - a Farmall M. Who would have figured the tractor would get "hot" in January??

I always block most of the radiator off in the winter. Today was just above 60 degrees. I can't say as I remember that happening in Kansas! I was about half way through grinding and happened to walk over to check the oil pressure and noticed the temp guage was at the top of the "run", bottom of the "hot" areas. I've never seen a letter series Farmall get that warm let alone in January. I'm hoping that February is wetter. We haven't had any snow to speak of yet his year. Darn Al Gore.

2012. We had 3 days that topped 60 in January. I was moving round bales with the 4840 and the top layer of mud melted. And it just polished up the frozen ground under it. Nearly parked it in the tree claim a few times those days.

Sounds ideal. My H does the same thing, if all the air is blocked off she'll run that temp. in winter.
