Here are some of mine from 40 years ago to now. Little kids on my 540 skidder, 450 crawler, BO wheel tractor, L wheel tractor, and 350B crawler are in their mid 30s now. Same with my youngest daughter on her "custom" Deere rider. Thin ex-wife with long hair and glasses is three times the size now and four times as crazy. Picture of my IH B25 with snow-blower it there because it is a Deere three-point, 6 foot snowblower.
350B crawler, 450A crawler, 540A log skidder, 440A log skidder, BO tractor, L tractor, 300B backhoe-loader,1010 crawle-loader, 420 crawler-loader, etc.

very nice pictures! This is just a joke,,,but,,,,,with all that equptment for digging,,,,and,,,all that remote property,,,,,and ,,,a crazy ex wife,,,,did a thought ever cross your mind? ..... lol

Heck yes. But my 2nd wife(found her in 1994) is a very sane mid-western girl and we get along great. Can't speak for myself but I know wse is not nuts! Well, she DOES like me - so maybe her judgement is not 100%

I will say this. My crazy ex HATED tractors. In fact, she hated and still hates anything old.

My "new" wife was running an 1800s water-powered saw and grist mill when I met her. She's quite different, and if anything, has a dis-like for shiny new stuff.

If anyone asks me, I tell them that the only old thing that I like is me! Not true, but it's a good way to end a conversation.

My neighbor Joe Lane worked at Lane Way after he quit dairy farming. His farm is now owned by a Hollywood cinematographer. They put a lot of money into fixing up the place.

Nice bunch of industrial stuff, which we don't see enough of on here.
On another subject, I don't think we've seen any pics of your Michigan place- how about it?

I never met Joe. Jim Lane, the old chicken-farmer, was my boss. He was a great guy. Who was Joe, his son? I worked at Laneway Inc. (in the Oneonta Deere dealership) from 1979 up into the 90s. Jim Lane the big boss-man. Viola, his wife. I heard they had children but never saw any around the dealership. Jim had a big chicken farm in Harpersfield at one time.

This area of northern Michigan is more rural then the place in NY. No mountains though. Lake Huron instead, along with many smaller lakes, rivers, and very large farms. I haven't even lived here yet for one full summer. Not many good photos.

I think he was a brother maybe. I remember my grandfather taking me to the John Deere located in Unadilla. There was another located in Trout Creek. I went to Laneway in the early 80's for wheels to restore our pedal tractor.
