Bought this thing 2 years ago at auction. fellow had died left all his toys for widow to sell. Lots of neat things and of course lots of junk. He had cut down jeep axles, mounted jeep transmission hyd motor and hydro pump. His brother in law said it worked somewhat but was very slow with little power. I found belt drive to pump with missmatched sheeves and worn belt. Engine had no start or kill switch amoung other things. Not critizing fellow as he passed away while this thing was a work in progress.I relocated pump to direct drive, added switches, seat , and few other things. Engine was stuck. Thanks old. atf and lacqure thinner, now runs well. Now must add roll cage and seat belt. First test run yesterday, Hit large hidden clump of dirt. rolled to side, then settled back. Through me off got right leg caught under wheel, left leg caught in shift leavers. Lots of bandages sore for a few more days. Though was going to have to call neighbors to get mo out from under wheel and trapped foot. I know some will say why not buy mule or the like, I just like to have something different as well as wanted to finish it for the guy. Ok Ok Geprge yes Im cheap also!!!!!!!!!!

Tom dont know what I will do when that little girl passes she has been with me 24 7 for almost 10 years. sleeps on her pillow right by me. (wife gets other side!!)

Looks like a neat toy but also maybe a death trap LOL. By the way I would have just used straight ATF. The son wants me to build a hyd drive track drive tank. Have the pumps on hand and the hyd motors

That looks very similar to one my dad made years ago. I will have to see if I can find a picture.

Frugal, cheap, What's the difference? I never will forget you putting a vertical shaft Briggs on top the lower end of an Evinrude outboard. So that makes you creative too.

Frugal is a great quality in a man , when

you impose your frugal on someone else it's

known as cheap

So, Bill is Frugal, not cheap. Creative or Redneck? Ah, creative sounds better. So what's the defination of Redneck?

Next summer I am going to have to get out my toy. It is a steel wheeled lawn tractor framed allis chalmers looking machine. got f 12 belt pulleys as rear wheels. Dray steel wheels for front, 5hp side shaft briggs that is zip tied to an idle as it nearly impossible to keep the front on the ground any faster than that. cut down nose cone from an allis B. hood is a cut down side panel from a d 17. A pan seat from something I cant remember but sure it was orange as well. Stepdad and I spent much time in rigging this thing together. That was the best of all. 2 adult boys making new toy!! No such thing as being to big to play with toys.

Wish i had that ability. Not very artistic or creative. Not much of a gear head either. But that looks like the neat little backhoe in Farm show this month.Have to remember on a limited income to not get too much invested to the point where it would be the tail waggin the dog.

I think Bill is retired, So is Definately Frugal,
Very Creative and a nice guy with many stories to
tell. I guess I can't call him cheap and a redneck.
