tire tread size?

Question about garden tractor tires. I have a Cub Cadet I only use for snow-blowing, size 23x9.5x12. The turf tires are old & dry rotting. I"m not having much luck finding the 9.5 size ,so the question is, Will the 10/10.5"s fit on my 9.5 rim & will my chains still fit? The other option is to go bigger? 24x12x12 would fit in the wheel well, would that make a big difference in traction? Thanks Jeff

Miller Tire has a couple of 9.5 turf tires. You could go down to an 8.5 or up to a 10.5. Depending on how tight your chains fit now, they might not work on a 10.5. I would think both would mount on your rims. Might also hit eBay. I see a lot of garden tractor tires for sale with rims for fairly low prices. I'd also think any good local tire shop could order what you want.

M.E. Miller tire still has the 23X9.5 X 12 still listed in their online catalog. The 24X12X12 would not fit your rim properly on your tractor you would have to go with wider rim.

If you break it down this may help. the 23 is diameter of the outer part of the tire. The 9.5 is how wide it is and the 12 if the diameter of the rim. You have to stay the same size on the rim but the others can be different and still work
