HP 27 ink jet fix.

I haven't used the printer in about 6 months. No ink would come out of the ink jet cartridge. Printer didn't show cartridge was empty. So I figured the jets must be choked. So I soaked it over night in water. That didn't help. Then I scraped off the remanufactored label and there were 4 holes. So I put the cartridge in a glass of water. After a dozen air bubbles came out I stopped. Put my mouth over the 4 holes and gave it a puff of air. Ink then came out. I put tape over the holes before I put it in the printer. It worked just fine. When I finished, I removed the jet and put it in holder so the jets can't dry out.

I did order new ink jets. I will be printing many pages of tax records to be send to my CPA. It will be interesting to see how long this fiz works.

Interesting experiment/story.

I try to run mine about once a month to keep in "primed".

i've taken rubbing alcahol and a cotton swab, clean end of printer and caratiage softly, don't scratch copper elements, then retry

How do you get by without printing like that? Mine is used every day if nothing more than to print bank statement that comes by email every day 365 days a year. And printed page is my backup.

Only use printer, big time, at end of year when I make a copy for CPA. Other than that only need printer to run off new contracts. Last time I needed a new contract was in May 2014.
