gravity wagon roll tarp advice?

I need to put a roll tarp on a gravity wagon; anybody done this lately and found a decent price on one. I have a feeling that shipping is going to be a big additive to the price. I'm in NE, so if one is made in my area; that would be a plus!

I found a couple sheets of heavy corrigated steel roofing worked far better than tarps. Secure with a couple rachet straps and park wagon on slight slope. Works real well for keeping contents clean and dry.

Tom,

I have one on one of my seed wagons that is made by "Shur-Lok" in Wahpeton, North Dakota. I would recommend getting the style that has the aluminum end caps. It might be a little more money but well with it. I have had it for many years now and it still looks and works like new. Hope this helps.

It is called pyramid canvas in Columbus ne,that's where a lot of us local get new traps made to replace torn ones,, I am pretty sure they have everything you would need for a new one,4025641515

Several years back I got a Shurco roll tarp for my truck and gravity wagon at the same time, out of their Ohio branch. I had excellent luck. This fall a friend tried to get one there for a common grain cart. He had a terrible time. Took three shipments to get him something he could use. Then he still needed some more pieces.

Why would a company have someone taking orders who knows nothing?

Aren't you closer to Goodland, or even Denver, then Columbus? I thought there used to be a tarp company in Goodland?

I get damaged grain trailer tarps free from the local truck shop, cut them to fit. Make the hoops out of 1" EMT and hold them in place with a couple ratchet straps. Put grommets in the ends with a kit from Harbor Freight for a couple bungies. Haven't lost one to the wind yet.

I've done business with pyramid when I had my truck. I figured they had the tarps but not the hardware. I have 2 tarps left from my semi trailer; one is almost new; I blew a turbo and covered part of it with oil. I had to replace the whole tarp. I get up by yankton; I might check them out!

remember a roll tarp will add height to your wagon --8 to 10 inches - I used to work for demco in boyden iowa and installed hundreds of tarps -- personally I would use a shurco -- good luck -- Roy

I ordered a Sioux City Tarp gravity wagon cover this year. I bought the aluminum end option. It also came with two middle hoops, two straps, and all necessary hardware. Everything fit, based on measurements I gave them over the phone. Their number is 712-258-6939. I was pleased with product and price.
