Update on my "Oh, joy..." post

Well, we got the new Tee in in a about and hour and half. As usual, my worrying about what could go wrong was far more of a chore than the actual job. Other than getting the support bracket out of the way it was relatively simple. The old tee was completely burnt out on the uphill side. Why we didn't have a fire I put down to the Good Lord looking out for us. The load off my mind is immense, especially since the warm weather is going and we need to be able to burn a hotter fire.

On the other hand! Christmas morning at 4:03AM the phone is ringing off the hook. We had a windstorm and my daughter and son in laws brand new metal 10x12 storage shed was ripped right off the foundation and is a pile of scrap metal out in the woods. We had to get the stock trailer up there and get over a ton of wood pellets under cover. Now if that's not the WORST Christmas morning I can recall I don't know what is!

We should have known better than to try anything but a stick built structure. We've never been able to keep anything from turning into a kite here- swing sets, picnic tables, roofing. Whole sheds have tipped over and finding a kicker rack on it's side is not at all unusual. Wind can really do a job on your wallet.

On the morning of the 26th I bent over to pick something up and blew my back out. Been a fun few days.

Well Bret at least you will be able to keep warm while resting your back.
Sorry to here that your family lost their shed and I can see how because the wind was really howling around our place. It was warm though and no snow or rain.
Bret you can always move to a better place!

Its certainly good to know that pipe is squared away, I would hate to have that on the "worry" list. This weather is hard to figure, we've already had over 2 feet of snow in separate storms, both melted off, the latest, most was gone here on the 26th, and it was colder in November, the last 2 days were perfect, don't burn as much wood, rain just passed and I believe it will now cool off again, be nice if the muck freezes, no snow cover, tow some logs in etc.
