Here are some pictures of my Grandpa, his brothers and my Great Grandpa. Great Grandpa came over to the U.S. in 1917 with about $18.00 from Russia so his sons would not have fight in the army. Grandpa (Dads dad) was a john deere man, my other Grandpa (Moms dad) was a case man.

Thanks for those pics. We are reaping the reward of someone owning and using a camera in those days! We had a camera but you'd think the film was made of pure gold when it came to using it.

Dad had a car like the one in the last pic. Then came a 41 Chevy. Seems like the tire chains never came off the spreader tractor until about June. Great pictures!

One grandpa Case, and the other John Deere.... That sounds just like me!! I suppose I have to start buying Molines now... huh? :)

Nice photos. I've never seen field pics of a JD H working before.
back in the 60's dad worked for the JD dealer. The dealer traded for an H with a bad head gasket. dad bought the H for $75.00 and the gaskets for $5.

He replaced the gasket in the back yard. later traded it back to the dealer for a 40 B.

Dad sure wishes now he kept that little H tractor.

Wonderful photos!
Looks like you had some industrious, hard working ancestors.
Don't we all wish we had pictures like yours to remember our ancestors by?

Love the hats in the first pic. Men just looked more like men in a fedora. Nice team on the hay wagon. Had a pair looked like that, about the same size too. Those old pics with the edges cut like that bring back memories.
