Managed to leave my phone at the truckstop this morning, 86 miles to go back for it. Now just 86 miles to get back to where I was. Goin to be a longer day than I thought.

I drove right past the daycare where I was supposed to pickup my son yesterday, I was on the phone and deep in thought. Not a good excuse, just the truth. 15 miles past the daycare I turn around to go get him.

This was an out of the normal routine pickup, so that helped me feel a bit better about it, and he was still picked up earlier than scheduled, so no rules broken, it will definitely take me out of the running for dad of the year award though.

That stuff happens, what can you do. Life is busy

Back when my father used to pick me up from school or anywhere else on his way home there'd always be a note he'd stuck to the top of his briefcase to remind himself! Sam

Not to be critical or mean but weren't we having this same conversation a few months ago with you. And if I remember correctly a few months before that also.

Give us your kids phone # as I have a suggestion for your Christmas gift.

A chain drive phone to go with the chain drive wallet.

Your lucky it was still there. I left a phone laying in a drivers lounge as I was called up to get my paper work and assigned a dock. Walked out to the truck, got to the dock, and realized I left it. Went back and it was gone. Another driver had picked it up it.

Those of you who suggest getting it mailed, that just doesn't work for us drivers. I have to make check calls and book the next load with my phone. CAN NOT be with out it. In the previously mentioned incident I dropped the trailer and went to the AT&T store and got it replaced. Expensive head up my azz mistake!

I had the "find my phone' gps tracking on it and called LEO and said go get it! It was still in the yard where my trailer was. They refused as it's not a big enough crime to commit resources to.
