Farmall Super A Brake Question

Something let loose and the brake pedal on the right side goes all the way down with no resistance. Not sure what happened to it, but it looks like quite the job to take it apart. Perhaps this is one for the local tractor shop, being an old tractor.....

Those are band brakes and the rod connection to the band has broke. Using a cherry picker you can remove the final where it connects to the diff housing and the brake is rite there. Mite want to replace the seal in the final if it has leaked. Just secure he tractor before removing final. I have done many over the yrs. New bands are easy to get.

There are several clevis pins in the linkage , make sure one hasn't fallen out before you go deeper !

I think there are 2 different style of brake bands for the SA. One has the rod as part of the band, one uses a seperate rod. If the band is shot/broken, make sure you order the right one.

My "SA" had both styles !! I bought the new ones
here on YT, they came in looong boxes , and were
the rod connected to band type , worked perfect !
