one question while I wait for the manifold gasket
Should there be a washer between the brass nuts holding the manifold on or just the brass nuts?
no washers on manifold I took off but what was the situation out of factory washers or no washers? thanx

Surprisingly enough, the factory used steel nuts and LOCKWASHERS!

You could use lockwashers even with the brass nuts (although the lockwashers will tear the nuts up a bit next time it is taken apart), or simply use SAE-type flatwashers.
