If you're wondering why flags will be flying at half staff tomorrow - know that we lost a great kid this week.

Kylee Walsh. She was a 4H'er from Lancaster.

I didn't know her well personally, but my daughter showed beef cows with her for years. I always saw her around at the fairs.

Great kid. She was 18 and joined the national guard.

She was heading out for training and was involved in a car accident.

Hard do see any young kid pass, but especially when it was one with so much promise.

When you see the lowered flags, give her some thought. She deserves that.

Wow what a sad story sound like she had so much going for her My thoughts go out to her family. Oh and JR I have to say every time I drive through Sutton I am a bit envious of all those big old farmsteads on the Rd from Oxford center to 146 my mom in law lives in Oxford and we make the patronage to Wrights chicken farm a few times a year

yeah, you and me both Dave!

Land is no longer cheap around here.

We've only got a few acres, and we're saving up for a lot more, but it'll probably require us to move.

There's a 30 acre lot we've hayed for years, and would love to own. Owner finally put it on the market. He's asking 4 million for it.

That's a little out of our league.

I'm afraid the yuppies win. They all want to live here because it's so farmy - so they come in, split it all into little lots, and think they live on a farm because they fill their house with farmy antiques.

It'd hurt to move after establishing so many good friendships here, but we'll see what happens. I haven't given up yet.
